The Jeune twin set consists out of 2 pieces with lots of variations.
If you choose simple options, it really is a fast and easy sewing project.
My daughter couldn’t decide between fabrics, so I made two sets.
The fabric looks like seersucker fabric but is a bit harder to the touch and really is ideal for the skirt. Here I also used lining in the skirt.
Finished with the perfect buttons from Mertens Mercerie.
I love the big pockets on the skirt, you can use these as a contrast, but here I played with the stripes.
The second one is made with the softest fabrics.
I found a hidden treasure in my closet; a light viscose from the Maan collection from Mondepot (sold out of course)
Because the fabric is a bit transparent, it’s perfect for this pattern because you have to make a complete lining in the top.
Again I chose the same options – or better said : my daughter did – with the beautiful details in the back.
I combined it with a soft double gauze from the Nani Iro collection.
Her favorite color is still blue, so this was a perfect match. 🙂
Here a fluo green/yellow color for the buttons that make a nice touch with the green in the birds.
Now you see why we couldn’t choose between these fabrics 😉
But hey, now she has two sets ready for summer!
Thx Suz for having me on this tour!
